There is allot of great fishing around Grand Rapids right now.  With the Lake turning over last week. It has brought some great fishing at the 6th Dam. Scams are gettting caught. And nice wave of Browns have came in as well use Crawlers, Flies, Minnows and Body Baits to land um.

And don’t forget about the walleye that are stocked in the Grand. Us some smaller body bait. Or bounce some crawlers on the bottom.

Want to catch some Catfish. The East side wall has been producing some huge ones. Use some Fresh Cut Bait, Suckers, Gills or some Crawlers. And dont forget about the soft Shell Crabs.

Gills as well as Specs having been getting caught on leaf worms, wax worms and spec minnows.

Ya know this winter has been a rough year on the Grand so far. If we don’t have so much ice coming down the river. We have high winds that make it hard to feel a bite But the guys that are catching the fish are doing a few different things to land the fish. Bottom bouncing spawn has been catching allot of fish this year.

using a float with spawn on jigs and waxy’s have been doing good as well. But whats nice about a float is you can control where you want your bait to be at. A few guys are even using hot-n-tots with floats and nailing a few fish that way. Wobble glows are hitting a few fish to. with the muddy water they feel that vibe coming from it and smack it. The water has been cold at the dam. 34.6 has been a average. But it will warm up soon.

Went down to the river last night i went 3 for 5 in about 3 hours.  I got all my fish bouncing Spawn.  I ran about a 5 foot leader with a chart. Bead on the top side of my hook. With white bags.  I used steelhead spawn last night.  I cured it with graps shake n cure.  Allot of guys are getting fish on Hotn Tots and jointed repalas.  Jigs and wax worms are still doing good as well.  All the fish i caught where up High in the holes.  With these last few days of warmer weather.  There knock’n the shit out of fish right now.

Top Side of the Dam has been Froze over and the river is fishing great.  Steelhead are hittn jigs and waxys. And a few guys are using tear drops tipped with wax worms. There are so people getting them on spawn. But jigs and wax worms have been out fishing um. Try dead drifting some wobble glows. Peach cobbler is the ticket on them. Hurley a cannon ball and a Fly are picking up as well.

Allot of slush ice coming down the river.  But they are catching some Steely’s on choker bags.  Try Bucktail jigs for the Walleye.  Along the east wall.
