With the Sun we have been having and the warmer weather we have been having has put a spice of life back in the grand. The Fish the last few days have been hitting the dam in the morning time. and then Dropping back in the deep holes during the day to get out of the Sun. But you will still hit um at the dam though all day long just not as good. At the dam allot of guys are drifting Flies and then bouncing and floating and plunking Spawn and Skein Pink has been hot at the dam. And a few are using Salted Shiner Minnows as well. And then drifting spawn and bouncing spawn in the holes as well with Jigs and Waxy’s. This year allot more guys are hitting fish on fulton st back bouncing spawn and running plugs off there.

Boat anglers down river are Back bouncing spawn and Plugging the Holes. And also Running Jigs tipped with waxy’s in the holes too.

Last year around March 15th was the peek of the run. We have not had that much water all winter long. And with the up coming rains on there way this next week we are all going to see a nice push of fish. I think the peek of the run is still a few weeks out. They have been Holing up down River, But when they make there run up river its going to be total MAYHAM!!! Get out there and wet a line!!!!!

Getting um Spawn jigs and waxy’s. Lower river is doing good with back bouncing spawn and plugs. Walleye are heating up ass well. It’s time to get out there and hit some fish. To the Float. Center Run the Quary Hole, Coffer Dam and the High Way Run has been prodeccing most of the fish. If your going down… get ready to fish your ass off for just a few fish. We hit 3 out of the 10 Fish today on the 4 inch Pink worm. We just Floated it with about 3 1/2 Leader off the Swivel. Givin um Something new to look at Pays off!!!

Flow was 4.2, the water wasnt to clear but it was clear enough you could see a few foot down. We bouncing Spawn. I was running 10 pound main line, with a slider on it with 2 #7 Split Shot. I like to runner a slider in the winter time because i think when ya get a hit there more likely to Hold on a little longer if the don’t Feel That weight on there. I had about a 4 1/2 foot 4lb Floro Leader on with a #14 Hook. And I tipped that with a 3 egg one Chart. Floater. Dam did it look good. But Started to drift a few Runs nothing….. Then I was watching my line and it stopped and set the hook and had one on. and that SOB Turn on me and the Hook popped out. So i called it a few more names and tryed drifting again for about a 1/2 and switched up to a #8 White Bucktail Jig. It was real small but I tyed it with Buck Tail. Threw 2 wax worms on it threw it out again. Then I Hit a Nice Hen. Fished a Little Longer and Nothing else hit.
