We never got there until after 2. And there was a ton of Boats up there. Boats on every Bed. It was Kinda sad really. But we did hit a few fish. My little sister got a Brown in. And then caught another Bow.

But you would be amazed if you left the chrome on the bed what you could catch behind them. I don’t mind catching some of the big males behind the hen but I don’t see why more people don’t leave the hens alone up north.

The DNR has cut back stocking so the fisherman have to understand we need those fish to lay there eggs. So we keep getting a nice run of fish every year. My home river is the Grand River. And I don’t mind keeping a few hens out of there from time to time. But there is so many fish in the Grand River it doesnt bother me as bad as if I took a fish up North.

We all like to get out of the city from time to time just to get away and smell some clean air. Watch a eagle go down in the water to catch himself lunch. But the Next time you go up north and see a hen on the bed. leave her alone and let her do what she is there to do.

We where running Huge Floats with a 2 once egg sinker under um. Just to keep it down in the top of the runs. White Choker Bags seemed to be the ticket today. The water is getting nice!!!! It’s a perfect time right now to Crave the Chrome Baby. If your going down there and not getting a hit right now. You need to think about 2 THINGS!!! LINE CONTROL AND SPEED CONTROL!!!!?!!!!! is your line slagging in the water because your trying to cast to long? If your float fishing and trying to cast to far and your line is all in the water look at your float and see which way its standing up. Good chance the your float is pointing down river and when that happens there going to be seeing your sinkers before your sac. Keep your line nice and tight with a little back pressure on your float. So they will be seeing your bag first and not getting hit in the head with lead. Or do you have to much lead on or not enough. Keep some of those tips in mined when you go out next. And ya know I have been seeing more people loose fish because they never change there leaders!!! This is the grand River home of rerod and tons of rocks. If you fishing right…. your line is going to get banged up…. feel it check it!!! And when u do get a nice fish on… your not going to break him off!!!! We went 5 for 15 today in a couple of hours. Or should I say we went 5 STEELYS/18 SUCKERS 15 Steelys hooked and lost and 45 Suckers hooked and Lost.   YOUR NOT GOING TO CATCH NO DAM FISH WITH OUT YOUR LINE IN THE WATER!!!!! GO FISHING!!!!!!!!

Jigs and Wax Worms have been really good. We have been shakin our Jigs to get um to hit. We have been Throwing a few bags to. The water is Gin Clear right now. Using 3 1/2 foot of 4 lb Floro. To the Float. Center Run the Quary Hole, Coffer Dam and the High Way Run has been prodeccing most of the fish. If your going down… get ready to fish your ass off for just a few fish. We need that water to come up to give us a new Push of fish up. Fishn the Grand

It has brought some great fishing at the 6th Dam. Scams are gettting caught. And nice wave of Browns have came in as well use Crawlers, Flies, Minnows and Body Baits to land um.

And don’t forget about the walleye that are stocked in the Grand. Us some smaller body bait. Or bounce some crawlers on the bottom.

Want to catch some Catfish. The East side wall has been producing some huge ones. Use some Fresh Cut Bait, Suckers, Gills or some Crawlers. And dont forget about the soft Shell Crabs.

Gills as well as Specs having been getting caught on leaf worms, wax worms and spec minnows.

Fish bigger weights to get down there and about 4 to 8 foot leader with some yarn or spawn sacks. Few guys are using Floats but most fish have been taking by dead drifting flies and yarn.

And a few guys are using tear drops tipped with wax worms. There are so people getting them on spawn. But jigs and wax worms have been out fishing um. Try dead drifting some wobble glows. Peach cobbler is the ticket on them. Hurley a cannon ball and a Fly are picking up as well.
