With the Sun we have been having and the warmer weather we have been having has put a spice of life back in the grand. The Fish the last few days have been hitting the dam in the morning time. and then Dropping back in the deep holes during the day to get out of the Sun. But you will still hit um at the dam though all day long just not as good. At the dam allot of guys are drifting Flies and then bouncing and floating and plunking Spawn and Skein Pink has been hot at the dam. And a few are using Salted Shiner Minnows as well. And then drifting spawn and bouncing spawn in the holes as well with Jigs and Waxy’s. This year allot more guys are hitting fish on fulton st back bouncing spawn and running plugs off there.

Boat anglers down river are Back bouncing spawn and Plugging the Holes. And also Running Jigs tipped with waxy’s in the holes too.

Last year around March 15th was the peek of the run. We have not had that much water all winter long. And with the up coming rains on there way this next week we are all going to see a nice push of fish. I think the peek of the run is still a few weeks out. They have been Holing up down River, But when they make there run up river its going to be total MAYHAM!!! Get out there and wet a line!!!!!

To the Float. Center Run the Quary Hole, Coffer Dam and the High Way Run has been prodeccing most of the fish. If your going down… get ready to fish your ass off for just a few fish. Pushed allot of fish in the Grand. Great winter time Steelheading going on right now. Try using Spawn, jigs and Waxy’s. Or if you like to fly fish. Run about a #10 green Caddis or a #8 Blk Stone. Or if you want to swing some flies, try a White Bunny Streamer.

Not allot of guys down at the River Right now but there are fish in there. What I like the most about winter time steelheading, your not shoulder to shoulder with everyone. You at least can have some room and be able to fish.

This picture is Jeff. He hooked this one Pinning on spawn down at the dam. Jeff likes to run 6 lb Berkley Vanish. He says for the price and how durable the line is you can’t beat it. Quarter Size Spawn bags “White”

The Fishing was Slow but we Landed 4 Steely’s. I was running Jigs and waxy’s And hit a few fish with nothin to come about. But Jeff was hitting a few fish on the Pin. With nickel to quater Size Spawn Sacs. White and Chart. was the ticket 2 on each color. We wasnt even fishing all the deep just about 3 1/2 foot. Fished at the dam at first with no takes and then dropped down in the boat and started to stick um. Talked to one guy that was throwing Gold and Black hot-n-tots and had one.

Updates will be about everyday now. Hunting is about over and the guided trips will slow down unitl goose and duck open back up.

But if your getting some cabin fever get out of the house because there are fish to be caught out there!!!

Even though its higher than hell. The water has about 2 foot visibality. We started out using choker bags. Chart. with grape skein. Took a few cast then i had a fish on. It was a nice chrome steely. Third cast after that i hit another one but this time when i set the hook it came straight at me like a rocket and there was to much slack on the fish and i lost it. The next drift after i put a new bag on BAMMMM I had one hit so hard the float went over a foot before i set the hook. But then one of my buddies tryed to dip net it and hit it in the head and then that came off. We fished our spot for another 2 hours and hit fish, if not every drift every other. Both east and west where hitting fish. then moved around and then we moved and we hitt a few fish every where we moved to. Still allot of fish in the river. there was only 2 boats in the water.
